Karns 'Lights Out' in Washington Win
|
The Washington Nationals topped the Atlanta Braves, 5-2, in National League action at Nationals Park. The player of the game was Washington pitcher and Dallas, Texas native Nathan Karns. Joakim Soria earned the save, his 4th. The Nationals keep rolling, raising their record to 7-3.
Karns was in the zone all game. He frustrated Atlanta hitters while giving the Nationals 6.2 innings of quality work. Karns threw 82 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 10 punchouts.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Karns.
