Bader goes 3-for-5 in Cardinals Win
|
St. Louis and New York duked it out at Citi Field and the Cardinals came out victorious.
Cardinals center fielder Harrison Bader put his stamp on his team's 10-8 win over the New York Mets. Bader went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for St. Louis in the contest. Getting the save was Mark Melancon, his 1st.
St. Louis relied on the bat of Ozzie Albies to get the win. The second baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cardinals ahead, 4-1. For the game, Albies had 1 double and 1 home run in 6 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Albies said after the game.
At 2-1, the Cardinals have played well so far.
