Victory Pushes Phillies Record to 54-37
|
Fans who gathered at Citi Field saw a good contest between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets.
The Philadelphia Phillies picked up a win at Citi Field, knocking off the New York Mets, 6-4. Starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel played a key role in the triumph. Kenley Jansen earned his 17th save in 18 chances.
Todd Frazier, who is tied for 7th in the NL in home runs with 23, aided the Philadelphia cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Frazier said.
The Phillies bumped their record to 54-37 with this latest triumph.
