Hearn Belts Bunch of Base Hits Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 Ethan Hearn did a number on the Wood Ducks in the Wilmington 16-7 victory today, and the number was 5. The Blue Rocks catcher banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Grainger Stadium to lead his club past the Down East Wood Ducks. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Ethan Hearn singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Carlos Jose Romero in the 9th. This season Hearn has hit at a .223 clip with 40 RBIs, 5 home runs and 23 runs scored. |
