2020 NC Outstanding Pitcher Award Named

Justin Dunn of the Lancaster JetHawks has been selected the premier pitcher in the National Conference and will receive the Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2020.

The top vote-getter completed the year with a 14-2 record. He started 23 times, threw 149 innings, chalked up 214 strikeouts and 27 walks, limited hitters to a .162 batting average and posted an impressive 1.75 ERA.

He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Logan Gilbert of the Lancaster JetHawks finished second in voting, while Matthew Liberatore of the San Jose Giants finished third.

The votes are in for the 2020 American Conference Outstanding Pitcher Award. It has been bestowed on Cody Morris of the Lakeland Flying Tigers.

The 23-year-old Flying Tigers ace finished the year with a 16-2 mark, logged 24 starts, threw 163.2 innings, yielded 114 hits, struck out 176 and held the opposition to a .196 batting average.

He received 27 first place votes out of a possible 30. Nick Neidert of the Buies Creek Astros finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Aaron Leasher of the Charlotte Stone Crabs finished third.
