Sheffield on Fire, Strikes out 15 Dash Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 Tampa Tarpons starter Jordan Sheffield brought his best stuff to George M. Steinbrenner Field today against the Winston-Salem Dash, striking out 15 batters in his club's 4-0 victory. In a strong performance, the 25-year-old Sheffield gave up no hits in his 7 innings of work and issued no walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my fastball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." This season Sheffield has registered 1 win and no losses in 5 starts with a 2.79 ERA. |
