Vargas Spectacular in 5-0 Win Sunday, July 5th, 2020 The Carolina Mudcats rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the San Jose Giants at Five County Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter Carlos Vargas, who shackled the San Jose Giants and held them scoreless on a 3-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Vargas said in his postgame press conference. His record for the year is 8-2 in 14 starts and Vargas has a 3.48 ERA. |
