Hammerheads Show No Mercy in 9-0 Thrashing of Fire Frogs Saturday, July 4th, 2020 Sam Carlson of the Jupiter Hammerheads spun his magic on the Florida Fire Frogs today. He blanked them 9-0 on 8 hits, registering 10 strikeouts and no walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Carlson said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Jupiter skipper said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Sam pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. Checking out his stats for the season, Carlson has racked up 6 wins and 4 losses in 13 starts, 3.43 ERA and struck out 71 batters in 76 innings. |
