Pelicans, Newman Buzz Tortugas, 2-0 Saturday, June 6th, 2020 23-year-old Myrtle Beach Pelicans pitcher Chandler Newman had a strong outing against the Daytona Tortugas at Jackie Robinson Ballpark today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 4 in the 2-0 win and walked 0 while surrendering 4 hits. "Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said. Thus far this season Newman has posted a 4-1 record, started 7 games, struck out 32 batters in 54 innings and compiled a 1.33 ERA. |
