The future appears bright for the St. Lucie Mets relief ace, who captured the award with 30 saves in 51 relief appearances, 79 strikeouts in 53.2 innings and a record of 6-2 to go with his 1.34 ERA. He received 24 first place votes out of a possible 30. Wennington Romero of the Carolina Mudcats finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Anderson Espinoza of the Florida Fire Frogs finished third.
