Jupiter Takes Round 2 in Deciding Game Saturday, September 26th, 2020 The Jupiter Hammerheads are heading to the Round 3, having narrowly defeated the Lancaster JetHawks. Jupiter edged Lancaster in the series 4-3, with a win at Roger Dean Stadium in the clinching game by a 5-1 margin. Oswald Peraza turned in a strong offensive performance for the Hammerheads and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Round 3 win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Peraza continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .417 with a .464 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Jupiter Hammerheads will play against the Buies Creek Astros in the next round. Buies Creek won their series against the Lakeland Flying Tigers 4 games to 3. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
