Harper Slugs Rangers to 5-4 Win
Bryce Harper was a major contributor to the 5-4 Texas win over Washington. The Rangers right fielder hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Texas pitcher Reyes Moronta got the win. He's now 4-1. Adam Morgan was tagged with the loss. The Rangers own a robust 38-18 mark.

Yulieski Gurriel went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk for Texas. The 35-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Adam Morgan. It was his 5th walk of the season.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Washington manager Maurice Hamilton.
