Great Day for Rodriguez -- 5 Hits Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 All game long, Lynchburg's Luigi Rodriguez was rattling the walls at Calvin Falwell Field and banging out base hits against the Frederick Keys. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Hillcats had a 23-12 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 25-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Luigi Rodriguez grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. During the current season Rodriguez is batting at a .330 clip with 3 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 37 games and scored 25 times. |
