Richmond Halts Fox's Hitting Steak Thursday, July 27th , 2023 Pensacola shortstop Lucius Fox experienced something against the Richmond Flying Squirrels he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Flying Squirrels pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 20 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Blue Wahoos to a 9-7 victory at The Diamond. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 20-game hitting streak," Fox joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." For the season, Fox is hitting at a .292 clip with 4 home runs, 39 RBIs and has scored 51 runs. He has 95 hits, 31 walks and a .374 on-base percentage. |
