Pensacola's Pereira Wins NC Most Valuable Player Award

Everson Pereira of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2024.

The 23-year-old center fielder put up a .321 average and a .409 on-base percentage, piling up 140 hits, 23 doubles, 6 triples, 25 home runs, 75 RBIs and 79 runs scored.

He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 30. Colson Montgomery of the Springfield Cardinals finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Owen Caissie of the San Antonio Missions finished third.
