He may have less experience than most of his AAA peers, but that didn't slow Mark Vientos down at all in 2024.
At the age of 24, the Memphis first baseman has been named the winner of the National Conference Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .334 batting average and a .393 on-base percentage this year. In 125 games he piled up 167 hits, 33 doubles, 3 triples, 25 home runs, 96 RBIs and 91 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 29 first place votes out of a possible 30. Ryan Ritter of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Kyle Lewis of the Albuquerque Isotopes finished third.
