Nationals Walk Off with Win | In a tight contest at Nationals Park, the Washington Nationals edged the Los Angeles Dodgers by the score of 7-6. Washington left fielder Andrew Benintendi, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Washington reliever Joakim Soria got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Scott Oberg was tagged with the loss. The Nationals bumped their record to 25-19 with this latest triumph.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Washington right fielder Marcell Ozuna, facing Scott Oberg, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Nationals the 7-6 win.
"Enjoyed this one," Ozuna told the Washington Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
