Royals Lose to Rays, 5-3 | Tampa Bay and Kansas City duked it out at Kauffman Stadium and the Rays came out victorious.
Kansas City got a terrific game from right fielder Lonnie Chisenhall. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Tampa Bay, 5-3. Chisenhall was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Rays bumped their record to 23-18 with this latest triumph.
The Rays got a big at-bat from right fielder Adam Eaton. For the game, Eaton went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 30th hit of the season gave Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Eaton told the Tampa Bay Daily.
