Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Christian Walker, the Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Houston Astros, 8-5. Walker was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Diamondbacks. Arizona reliever Zach Petrick picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. A.J. Minter was saddled with the loss. The Astros fall to 16-18 and continue their uneasy start to the 2018 season.

Walker had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a full count fastball from A.J. Minter, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Diamondbacks a 8-5 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Walker.

"Put a star next to this win," Walker said.
