Braves Lose to Mets, 2-0
|
In a tight battle between the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves, pitcher Lance Lynn was in the zone. The New York right-hander was named the player of the game in New York's 2-0 win. The save was credited to Corey Knebel, his 4th. The Braves fall to 10-20 and continue their uneasy start to the 2018 season.
Starlin Castro, who is tied for 6th in the NL in hits with 39, chipped in for New York with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Lynn said.
