| Brewers Lose, 1-0, at Great American Ball Park | Cincinnati Reds starter Jake Peavy was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Milwaukee Brewers, 1-0. Peavy got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Peavy allowed no earned runs. Earning his 1st save for Cincinnati was Rex Brothers.
The Reds got a big at-bat from catcher Yasmani Grandal. For the game, Grandal went 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 1-0 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Milwaukee skipper Jonathan Adelman, "and it cost us."
The Brewers drop to 15-16 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2018 season.
