Colorado Edges Chicago, 2-1, Carrasco Ks 9
|
Colorado used a superb performance from starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco to down the Chicago Cubs, 2-1. The Rockies are off to a tough start, getting just their 11th win in 30 games.
Carrasco, who dominated for Colorado, earned the victory to move to 3-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 9. Chicago batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Chicago skipper Garrett Hansford.
