|
Cleveland shortstop Marcus Semien made his presence felt in the 6-5 Indians triumph over the Minnesota Twins. Semien went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ryan Madson closed it out for his 5th save. The Twins, at 5-11, have stumbled out of the gate.
Semien had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Juan Nicasio, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Indians a 6-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Semien.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Semien said after the game.
