Blue Jays Need Extra Frames to Get Past Indians
|
The Toronto Blue Jays bested the Cleveland Indians by a score of 4-3, with left fielder Carlos Gonzalez getting the main credit. On the day, Gonzalez went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles for the Blue Jays. Jake Diekman finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Toronto, now 13-3, is setting the league on fire so far.
The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from center fielder Keon Broxton. For the game, Broxton was 1 for 4 with a walk. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 13th hit of the season gave Toronto a 4-3 lead.
"We did a lot of things right," said Broxton.
