The San Francisco Giants trumped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 9-5, at AT&T Park. San Francisco catcher Kyle Schwarber was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The Giants, now 8-2, have hit the ground running this season.
Corey Dickerson aided the San Francisco cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times.
