Orioles Get Road Win, 6-3
|
Baltimore starter Shohei Ohtani pitched effectively against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Carson Fulmer got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings. Brandon Morrow closed it out for his 2nd save.
Ohtani contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Baltimore in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Ohtani took a fastball from Luis M. Castillo and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Orioles to leap in front, 3-1.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Ohtani said after the game.
Baltimore is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 5 games.
