Mariners Rally For Late Win Over Astros
|
The Mariners grabbed a win, 5-3, at Minute Maid Park, overcoming a fine effort from Houston pitcher Carlos Rodon. Rodon went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Seattle reliever Emilio Pagan picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Blake Treinen took the loss. The Astros, at 62-62, have lost 5 in a row.
Making an impact for Seattle was Sergio Alcantara. In the top of the ninth inning, the 27-year old second baseman had a 2-run single to make the score 3-2, Mariners.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Alcantara said after the game.
