Blue Jays Take Tight Tilt, 5-2
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Brendan McKay was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-2. Yes, it was a win for Toronto; but their 38-84 record is still nothing to boast about.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Toronto trailing 2-1, Mickey Moniak jumped on a first pitch fastball from Jimmy Nelson for a grand slam home run, sending the Blue Jays to a walk-off win.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Moniak said.
