Turner has 4 hit night, Reds Move to 68-41
|
The Cincinnati Reds topped the Washington Nationals by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Trea Turner. Turner was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Reds. The winning streak has now reached 9 games for Cincinnati.
With Cincinnati leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Turner hit a slider from Brandon Woodruff for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Reds ahead, 4-0.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Turner told the Cincinnati Bulletin.
