White Sox Roll to 9-2 Win Over Blue Jays
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Brandon Belt, the Chicago White Sox defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-2. Belt was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the White Sox. The winner was Dillon Peters in relief. His record improves to 6-8. Kyle Gibson took the loss. The White Sox bumped their record to 55-52 with this latest triumph.
Belt had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The White Sox went on to win.
"We came out aggressive," said White Sox manager Corey Krentsa. "We came out swinging the bats."
