Royals Win at New York, 6-2
|
Kansas City pitcher Chris Sale did his part in helping his team beat the New York Yankees, 6-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Yankees, now 56-49, have lost 4 straight.
The Royals got a big at-bat from third baseman Nolan Arenado. For the game, Arenado went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Kansas City a 3-0 lead.
Sale told a Kansas City Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
