Orioles Curb Yankees, 5-3
|
Oriole Park at Camden Yards was the site of a competitive game between the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles.
Baltimore picked up a win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, toppling the New York Yankees, 5-3. Pitcher Bryse Wilson was one of the reasons the Orioles triumphed. Wilson got the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Wilson allowed 1 run.
The Orioles got an important contribution from designated hitter Oscar Colas, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 1-2 fastball into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 14th double of the season and put the Orioles ahead, 3-1.
Colas called the triumph "a good team win."
With the win, the Orioles hiked their record to 53-50.
