New York Tags New York with 4-2 Defeat
|
New York rode a fine outing from starter Bobby Miller to victory over the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Miller got the win, improving to 6-6. He allowed 1 hit and walked 2 over 5 innings. Miller allowed no runs. The Mets bumped their record to 52-50 with this win.
Ian Happ had a nice at-bat for the Mets with no one out in the top of the sixth. With the bases empty, the left fielder hit a solo home run, which would prove important in the New York win.
Miller called the win "a collective effort."
