Brewers Rally For Late Win Over Reds
|
The Milwaukee Brewers took Cincinnati pitcher Mark Leiter Jr.'s best shot and still were able to claim a win at Miller Park. The final score had Milwaukee getting past the Reds, 4-2. Leiter Jr. went 6 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 4. Milwaukee currently is in 4th place in the National League Central Division at 46-57.
Making an impact for the home team was Kyle Stowers. In the bottom of the eighth, the 25-year old left fielder had a grand slam home run. That made the score 4-2, Brewers.
"I thought we played a nice game," Stowers told the Milwaukee Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
