Giants Snatch 6-5 Win from Athletics
|
The San Francisco Giants did just enough to secure a victory over the Oakland Athletics, 6-5, at AT&T Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Nick Pivetta. With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 53-49.
Keibert Ruiz was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Giants pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Francisco manager Ryan Morneau.
