Nationals Get Dramatic 4-3 Triumph
|
The San Francisco Giants got a sterling performance from pitcher Tanner Bibee, but the Washington Nationals still prevailed, 4-3. Bibee threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The winner was D.L. Hall in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Adbert Alzolay took the loss. With the win, Washington raised its record to 53-46.
Washington won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With no outs and Adbert Alzolay on the mound for San Francisco, center fielder Michael A. Taylor hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Nationals fans to their feet.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Taylor said.
