Schimpf Helps Yankees Run Win Streak to 3
|
New York right fielder Ryan Schimpf was instrumental in his team's 8-5 win over the Cleveland Indians. Schimpf went 2-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Yankees. Wade Davis got the save, his 12th in 17 chances. New York has now won 3 in a row.
Ryan Braun, who is tied for 10th in the AL in total bases with 189, chipped in for New York with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
