Brewers Lose to Twins, 5-4
|
Minnesota first baseman Freddie Freeman was instrumental in his team's 5-4 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Freeman, who is on pace for 113 RBI this season, went 2-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Twins. Nick Pivetta got the win, improving to 5-8. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 1. A.J. Ramos, credited with the save, is now 8 for 8 in save opportunities.
Freeman had a key at-bat for Minnesota early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and gave Minnesota an early 2-0 lead.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Freeman told the Minnesota Bulletin.
Minnesota is now riding a 3-game win streak.
