Victory Pushes Nationals Record to 45-30

Aaron Hicks was instrumental in his team's 4-2 triumph over the Philadelphia Phillies. The center fielder went 3-3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times for the Washington Nationals. The winner was Corey Kluber, who threw 100 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 10 hits. David Robertson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
Marcell Ozuna, who is on pace for 106 RBI this season, chipped in for Washington with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
Ozuna told a Washington Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
