Blue Jays Win at Los Angeles, 7-4
|
The Toronto Blue Jays picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, knocking off the Los Angeles Angels, 7-4. Starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Toronto leads the American League East Division by 2 games.
Andrew McCutchen, who won the Most Valuable Player Award in 2013, helped out the Toronto cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances. He drove in 2 runs.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," McCutchen said.
