Rockies Edge Rangers, 1-0
|
Colorado turned a good effort from starter Tyler Skaggs into a win over the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The final score was 1-0. Skaggs picked up the win for Colorado, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-9. Colorado is now 25-46, Texas 46-27.
Brandon Guyer drove in one run for Colorado. The 32-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Alex Wood. It was his 17th RBI of the season.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Colorado manager Rex Shuck. "Our pregame was pretty good."
