Rangers Lose to Dodgers, 4-3
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Texas Rangers, 4-3, in National League action at Dodger Stadium, with Los Angeles pitcher Chris Archer named player of the game. Cody Allen saved it for Los Angeles. After today's action, Los Angeles sits at 37-28, while Texas falls to 44-25.
Had Wilmer Difo not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Difo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Dodgers.
Texas manager Eric Ferraro said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
