The Giants got a big at-bat from shortstop Tim Anderson. For the game, Anderson was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 64th hit of the season gave San Francisco a 1-0 lead.
