Texas Rangers starter Jon Lester was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Houston Astros, 4-2. Anthony Swarzak was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 15 save opportunities. Texas goes to 44-23. The win puts them 6½ games up in their division.
Cesar Hernandez put Texas in front, 4-0, when he took Odrisamer Despaigne downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 4th home run of the season.
"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Hernandez told the Texas Today.
