Rockies Bang Out 9-1 Win Versus San Francisco
|
The San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at AT&T Park.
Jacob Stallings made an impact in the 9-1 Colorado win over San Francisco. Stallings was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Anthony Bass, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 1-1.
Stallings had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Rockies went on to win.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said San Francisco manager Jesse Vansickle.
Even with the win, the Rockies have a dismal 13-33 record.
