Miller Sensational, 15 Ks Friday, August 7th, 2020 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Shelby Miller, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp topped the San Antonio Missions today by a score of 3-2 at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The 29-year-old Miller brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 8 hits and giving up no walks. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Missions manager said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." Miller has a 3-2 season record so far. In 6 starts, he has fanned 69 batters in 44.2 innings with a 2.42 ERA. |
