Olson Strokes 5 Hits Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Will Olson is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field today. The monster effort from the 24-year-old catcher helped the Bowie Baysox take the win, 14-5. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Sea Dogs manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Will Olson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. Looking at his present stats, Olson has compiled a .326 batting average in 11 games with a .396 on-base percentage, while hitting no home runs and driving in 2 runs. |
