Akron Takes Round 2 Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 The championship dreams are still alive for the Akron RubberDucks, while it's back to the drawing board for the Montgomery Biscuits. By a score of 2-0, Akron won the decisive game at Canal Park today. The RubberDucks took the series 4-2. Chas McCormick of the RubberDucks was named the Round 2 MVP. "All our guys are really focused winning the Round 3," McCormick said. "I'm not too concerned about personal awards." The Akron RubberDucks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hartford Yard Goats - Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp series. Hartford leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
