Sounds Taveras Snags AC Player of the Week Monday, August 24th, 2020 One of the league's most exciting young players, Leody Taveras of the Nashville Sounds earned himself American Conference Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 21-year-old center fielder had a lofty .474 average (18-for-38), collecting no home runs, 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This year Taveras has collected a .321 batting average to date with 126 hits in 393 at-bats, 44 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 64 times. He has played in 86 games. |
