3 Bombs for Sam Hilliard Thursday, August 20th, 2020 In a powerful performance that left the fans at PNC Field buzzing, Scranton WB RailRiders right fielder Sam Hilliard blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 5-3 win over the Round Rock Express. "Everything was clicking," Hilliard told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Hilliard shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," RailRiders manager said. "Sam played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Sam Hilliard struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Mike Shawaryn in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mike Shawaryn in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Trevor Hildenberger in the 8th. So far on the season Hilliard is hitting .238 with 17 home runs, 53 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 67 hits and played in 73 games. |
